The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering subject-area instruction using real-life applications and technological tools. They must assess student skill levels, maintain classroom discipline, and collaborate with staff to integrate skills across the curriculum.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate for the respective grade level. Alternatively, proof of enrollment in an approved certification program may be accepted for an Emergency Permit.
