In this role, you won’t just deliver care—you’ll help shape the future of oncology.
Why This Role Matters: As an Oncology Research RN, you play a critical role in advancing cancer research while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. Every day, your work contributes directly to better outcomes, innovative therapies, and hope for patients and families.
What You’ll Do: You will perform a wide range of professional nursing duties, acting as both a clinical expert and trusted patient advocate, including:
Clinical & Patient Care
Assist physicians during exams and procedures; prepare patients and ensure all relevant clinical information is available.
Collect patient samples including blood, urine, and other specimens; properly prepare samples for testing or shipment.
Obtain and accurately record vital signs and clinical measurements, including heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, weight, and more.
Prepare patients for treatment, procedures, and research protocols, including medication administration and sedation, per physician or medical direction.
Respond quickly and confidently to medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis, hypoglycemia, hypotension, hemorrhage, and respiratory distress.
Research & Data Support
Collect, document, and organize laboratory reports, clinical data, and study-related records with exceptional accuracy.
Support ongoing research initiatives by ensuring data integrity and protocol adherence.
Gather information vital to patient safety, study outcomes, and physician decision-making.
Patient Education & Coordination

Answer routine patient inquiries with empathy, professionalism, and clarity.
Schedule and follow up on patient appointments, ensuring an organized and seamless experience.
Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, clinic clerks, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
Act as a lead nurse as needed, directing and evaluating the work of support staff with minimal supervision.
Contribute to a respectful, team-focused clinical environment rooted in excellence and accountability.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and success of the oncology research team.
Why Join Us?
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking research environment where your contributions matter—to patients, to physicians, and to the future of cancer care.
