Conduct functional assessments of claimants via face-to-face, video, and telephone to evaluate daily living activities. Produce high-quality clinical reports for the DWP and triage cases to determine correct assessment pathways.
Requires registration with NMC, HCPC, or GPHC and a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience (18 months for Pharmacists). Candidates must be proficient in using computers and capable of writing detailed clinical reports.

Are you looking to your clinical skills in a different way? As a Functional Assessor, you'll continue to utilise your clinical expertise, maintain your registration, and enjoy a better work-life balance. If you have a minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience and have been practising as a clinician throughout the last year, we'd love to hear from you. If you are a pharmacist, we welcome your application if you have a minimum of 18 months experience.
We offer a number of flexible working arrangements that suit those who prefer to work in an Assessment Centre full time or in a hybrid role.
Working hours throughout your training are 9.00am -5.00pm Monday to Friday. Once training has been completed (typically around six months), other working patterns are available.
Many clinicians find the role of a Functional Assessor rewarding, but it’s also challenging at the same time and it’s not the right fit for everyone.
