The Mental Health Technician maintains patient safety and structure by observing and recording patient information while assisting the multi-disciplinary team. They are responsible for gathering patient care data, obtaining vital signs, and providing crisis intervention during facility code events.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or one to two years of relevant experience. Additional requirements include non-violent crisis intervention training, CPR certification, and various criminal and child abuse background clearances.
Maintains safety and structure by observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reports information to appropriate staff. Works under nursing supervision.
