The Pharmacy Tech II assists licensed pharmacists in dispensing functions, including purchasing, inventory control, and sterile product preparation. They maintain automated dispensing equipment and provide technical pharmaceutical services to patients across all age groups.
Candidates must be a high school graduate with at least 3 years of pharmacy experience and a valid state Pharmacy Technician license or certification. Required certifications include accredited training in sterile products preparation and IV Admixture.

The individual in this position acts under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and provides assistance in dispensing functions, including: purchasing, inventory control of all drug classes, sterile product preparation and associated equipment maintenance, and automated dispensing cabinet equipment and inventory maintenance. Also performs technical duties to maintain pharmaceutical dispensing functions to all neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including inpatients and outpatients.
