The loan processor is responsible for managing loan files from the loan officer stage through to closing, including gathering credit and income documentation. They also act as a point of contact for customers regarding regulations and coordinate with underwriters and title companies to ensure final approval.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of mortgage processing experience and be proficient in VA, FHA, and conventional loan programs. The role requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, as well as the ability to manage over 50 credit files simultaneously.
