The Flight Nurse conducts basic screening assessments and provides complex nursing care to detainees during deportation flights. They are responsible for monitoring specialized medical equipment and documenting patient-centered health care in electronic medical records.
Candidates must hold an ASN or BSN degree and a valid Registered Nurse license, with at least two years of experience in acute, ICU, or emergency medicine. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required, along with current BLS or ACLS certification and a valid U.S. passport.

Summary:
Vighter is recruiting Flight Registered Nurses (RN) at the hub in El Paso, TX. Flight Nurses conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) teams during deportation flights from El Paso, TX. Registered Nurses (RN) provide in-flight nursing services to DHS/ICE detainees being repatriated to their countries of origin. The RN reviews medical records to determine if detainees are capable of flying and will provide nursing services during the flight.
Vighter’s Flight nurses work alongside uniformed DHS and ICE at numerous locations in Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin. Candidates must be comfortable working in detention and flight settings. Services may be provided in a field setting with minimal facilities, a soft-sided (tent-type) facility, or a secure detention facility, such as a DHS/ICE Station or outpost collocated with international airports in sector, and in flight between the United States and various other countries.
