The RCP performs routine, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for chronically and critically ill patients. Additionally, they are responsible for phlebotomy, basic laboratory testing, and maintaining equipment.
Candidates must be licensed to practice respiratory care in the state and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications. A high school diploma is required, though an associate degree and one year of clinical experience are preferred.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order.
