The Mechanical Engineer II will take design ownership of solar tracker components and sub-systems to improve cost, reliability, and application. They will lead root cause analysis efforts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve resource conflicts and implement risk mitigation.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 2 years of experience in mechanical component development and structural design. Proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA, and DFMA methodologies is required, along with the ability to travel as needed.
The Mechanical Engineer II – Sustaining will play a critical role in the development and support of leading-edge, industry-defining solar tracker components and more. Mechanical Engineer II - Sustaining will be given design ownership of components and sub-systems helping to drive to lower cost, increased reliability, and increased application. Working with multiple levels of management, engineering, and other departments, you will create and select state-of-the-art technologies and products. You will utilize tools such as computer aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA), and failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA). This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours. Some travel is required. You will:
