Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Beavercreek Office - Beavercreek, OH 45431Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: Up to 10%Why Sabel Systems
Sabel Systems designs and delivers digital engineering ecosystems for DoD programs, enabling teams to connect data, systems, and personnel within secure, scalable environments. Our solutions empower programs to make faster decisions, close sustainment gaps, and meet the digital acquisition requirements.
Rather than simply proposing transformation, we implement and operate it at scale. Our method is clear: we orchestrate existing tools into a governing system of record, ensuring government ownership of infrastructure and traceable decisions. There’s no vendor lock, no proprietary baselines, and no need for ATO rebuilds during transitions.
Sabel Systems is redefining modern defense acquisition. If you seek to solve complex challenges at scale and want your work to directly accelerate military capability while reshaping the DoD’s approach to digital engineering, this is the place for you.
Complexity Simplified. Mission Amplified.
What You’ll Do
Develop and enhance Appian applications including process models, user interfaces (SAIL), business rules, and data structures in the P3 environment Design and build workflow automation solutions that support Air Force PA business processes; implement case management and approval workflows Gather requirements from government stakeholders and business analysts; translate functional requirements into technical Appian designs and implementations Work with APIs and integrations to connect P3 with external Air Force systems (AES, GPC, AFORS, Vector, directory services) Write and optimize SQL queries to support data models, reporting, and business logic; ensure data integrity throughout the system Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities; support troubleshooting of production issues with guidance from senior developers Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team; attend stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives; manage work items in Jira Document code, design decisions, and implementation details; contribute to team knowledge base and best practices documentation Support user acceptance testing and coordinate with P3 stakeholders to ensure solutions meet requirements Continuously learn and improve your Appian skills; pursue relevant certifications with team support and mentorship
What You Bring
Required

Sabel Systems is a digital engineering and DefenseTech company that helps Department of War (DoW) programs connect the tools, data, models, and teams behind modern weapon systems. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, we serve the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force with teams in 37 states.
Our flagship platform, 97Helix, is a digital engineering ecosystem that unifies more than 80 engineering tools — MBSE, PLM, requirements, simulation, and sustainment data — into one secure environment, proven in IL5 and IL6. The FY27 NDAA is expected to direct DoW to scale digital engineering and PLM adoption under DoDI 5000.97 — the same governed, enterprise-scale capability, reused across programs rather than rebuilt from scratch, that 97Helix delivers today. Its modules (nimbusCORE, dataCORE, collabCORE, and connectCORE) give programs a single digital thread from design through sustainment.
Our product family also includes:
TDPWerx — validates technical data packages in weeks instead of months
Code Foundry — secure software factory capability for defense programs
Spacestation — digital engineering and agile transformation platform for Space Force programs
We solve four critical DoW problems:
Integration Delay — 6+ months of tool reconciliation eliminated
Late Discovery — Design defects caught in integrated models, not at CDR
Rebuild Cycles — Phase transitions without 12-18 month restarts
Portfolio Fragmentation — Shared baselines and inherited practices across the DoD
Proven across naval shipbuilding, aviation, unmanned systems, and Space Force operations, Sabel's modular open systems approach keeps DoW free of vendor lock-in while sustaining authoritative digital engineering infrastructure.
Our commitment: Remove friction that delays capability. When decision friction is eliminated, programs execute at mission tempo. The warfighter waits for nothing.
