The Facilities Mechanic is responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing within a cGMP pharmaceutical packaging environment. They will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document work in CMMS, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
Candidates must have 5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience, with a preference for biopharma cGMP background. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and trade certifications or licensure are strongly preferred.

The Facilities Mechanic supports a multi-building pharmaceutical packaging facility / cGMP environment in Allentown, PA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain warehouse and production buildings including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BAS, fire life safety systems, doors, elevators and building envelope.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and document work in CMMS.
Guide vendors and obtain quotations for maintenance and replacement projects.
Conduct inspections, rounds and readings; respond to BAS alarms.
Support facilities projects, GMP/GDP compliance, capital planning and operational improvements.
Work extended hours as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
Identify code, safety, energy efficiency and sustainability compliance gaps.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5-8 years of facilities mechanic or MEP trade experience required.
Biopharma cGMP experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with BAS controls preferred.
Strong HVAC, analytical, technical, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Experience with CMMS, QMS and Microsoft Office.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Certification and/or licensure in one or more trades preferred.
