The role involves assembling, testing, and characterizing CASSIA sensor prototypes and optimizing pixel designs for time resolution and signal collection. Responsibilities include circuit design, pre- and post-layout simulations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for integration into readout circuits.
Candidates must have a professional background in Electronics or Physics with either a Master's degree (2-6 years experience) or a PhD (up to 3 years experience). Proficiency in CMOS sensor design, circuit simulation, and laboratory instrumentation is required, along with eligibility as a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.

This adds an extra dimension to the available information and is essential for mitigating pile-up effects at high luminosities. The CASSIA Project (CMOS Active SenSor with Internal Amplification) aims to develop monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS) with internal signal gain and low noise in a widely used CMOS imaging process, targeting a broad range of applications.
