Full job description
Office location: Cambridge, UK – This position offers flexible and remote working options. Candidate must be willing to travel into the office when required.
This is a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026
Are you a hands-on analytics specialist with a track record of owning platform implementations end-to-end?
As our Web & Digital Analytics Specialist, you’ll lead the rollout of PostHog across our websites and desktop applications, being instrumental in the full user onboarding and reboarding journey, validating data quality, and configuring the platform so that product, analytics, and engineering teams can rely on it from day one. You’ll work directly with our engineering and analytics teams, bridging the gap between technical implementation and business insight.
Beyond the platform itself, you’ll build out automated tooling to scale how we generate and surface analytics insights, reducing manual effort and enabling faster, data-driven decisions across the organisation. This is a role with genuine ownership and autonomy: you’ll be setting the standard for what good looks like across a major, company-wide initiative.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the end-to-end PostHog implementation across our websites and desktop applications, defining the event schema, identifying gaps, and validating that data collection is accurate and fit for purpose.
Instrument the full user onboarding and reboarding journey - configuring events, page visits, retention metrics, and player actions across all relevant platforms.
Interface closely with the engineering team to coordinate day-to-day implementation, ensuring PostHog is being integrated correctly and consistently.
Configure and set up PostHog as a platform for business users across product, analytics, and engineering - ensuring it’s accessible, reliable, and well-documented.
Build automated tooling to scale analytics insights generation, reducing dependency on manual analysis and enabling faster decision-making across the organisation.
Work with analysts to define standards, close gaps in existing instrumentation, and maintain data quality throughout the engagement.
What we’re looking for:
Hands-on experience implementing analytics platforms is essential.
Proven experience with PostHog or a comparable analytics platforms such as Contentsquare, Heap, or Hotjar, demonstrating broad platform knowledge across the analytics ecosystem.
Demonstrated experience building workflow automation tooling to scale analytics or insight generation processes.
Strong SQL skills and the ability to read and interpret JavaScript in the context of analytics implementation and event validation.
Proven ability to work directly and effectively with engineering teams - you’re comfortable in technical conversations and can coordinate implementation details without friction.
Self-directed and proactive - you can pick up a mid-flight implementation, identify what’s missing, and drive it to completion with minimal direction.
What we offer:
When you join Jagex you can look forward to a generous Perks & Benefits package including:
Private Healthcare, including Dental Plan.
Discretionary annual performance bonus.
Minimum 6% Pension contributions.
Life Insurance.
Enhanced family leave policies from day 1.
Flexible working hours.
25 days annual leave + Bank holidays & the option to buy/sell holidays + so much more!
