About the Role
This role focuses on software‑based entry audio solutions for China‑focused OEM platforms. Based in China, the position operates close to customers, engineering execution, and the local ecosystem, while remaining tightly connected to global Car Audio and Software Product Management teams.
The role contributes professional expertise to the definition, evolution, and delivery of cost‑optimized, software‑centric audio solutions, supporting highly competitive OEM programs where speed, value balance, and alignment to global platforms are critical.
The Product Manager – Entry Audio Solutions is an individual‑contributor product professional responsible for managing a defined portfolio of entry‑level audio software solutions for China OEM customers.
The role serves as the regional product authority with full accountability for the commercial and technical success of entry audio software solutions in China; defining product strategy, influencing global platform investment priorities based on China-specific insights, and owning the product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life. Work is primarily achieved through development teams and cross‑functional stakeholders, providing advice, direction, and influence within a clearly defined product scope.
What You Will Do
Product Strategy & Roadmapping
Contribute professional expertise to the vision, product strategy, and roadmap for software‑based entry audio solutions targeting China OEMs
Develop and maintain roadmaps and release plans aligned to China OEM platform cycles and global product direction
Apply analytical problem‑solving to evaluate feature tradeoffs, cost constraints, and competitive positioning
Make recommendations for introducing, localizing, standardizing, or retiring product features within assigned scope
Market & Customer Engagement (China Focus)
Interface with China OEM product planning, engineering, and purchasing teams in collaboration with CAM organizations
Capture voice‑of‑customer input and translate insights into clear market and product requirements
Support RFQs and customer pursuits by providing structured product inputs, feature mapping, and roadmap alignment
Leverage regional proximity and relationships to enable faster customer alignment and issue resolution
Product Definition & Delivery
Own Market Requirements and Product Requirements for assigned entry audio software solutions
Work through development teams to prioritize backlogs and support release execution
Provide direction and clarification to engineering teams to ensure requirements are well understood and deliverable
Ensure China‑specific adaptations remain aligned with global platforms and do not introduce unnecessary fragmentation
Commercial & Business Alignment
Lead RFQ responses and customer pursuits, owning feature positioning, roadmap alignment, and win strategy for the China region
Own the business case and pricing strategy for assigned products. Partnering with CAM, Finance, and Business Development teams to validate assumptions and secure alignment.
Drive make-vs-buy and partner strategy decisions within the China software ecosystem, with accountability for recommendations to leadership
Support Go‑To‑Market readiness by providing clear product positioning and internal enablement materials
Global & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Act as the China product interface into global Car Audio and Software Product Management organizations
Share China‑specific market insights, customer feedback, and competitive observations with global product teams
Collaborate with outbound product management on messaging, training, and portfolio coherence

OEM program nomination rate and RFQ win rate for entry segment solutions

What You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience in software product management or systems engineering, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and commercial outcomes in automotive or adjacent industries
Solid understanding of software‑based products (platforms, configurable features, lifecycle ownership)
Prior collaboration with global product or platform teams
Familiarity with China OEM development and decision making models
Experience supporting China automotive OEM RFQs, customer pursuits, and GTM activities
Experience working in matrix, global organizations
Fluent written and spoken Mandarin and English
