The Housing Support Worker provides whānau-centred case coordination and practical support to help individuals secure and maintain stable housing. This includes conducting outreach, coordinating support plans, and assisting with move-ins and tenancy sustainment.
Candidates should have experience supporting people facing homelessness, housing instability, or complex needs. A full, current New Zealand Driver Licence is required, along with strong relationship-building skills and an understanding of trauma-informed practice.

We're looking for a Housing Support Worker to join our Housing & Wellbeing team, walking alongside whānau to find stable homes and build the connections that make a house a home.
About the roleFixed-term position through to June 2028, open to full-time or part-time,based in Rotorua.
As a Housing Support Worker, you'll provide ongoing, whānau-centred case coordination and practical support to people finding their way into stable housing under our Housing First programme, including supporting manahā with mental health and addiction challenges. You won’t be doing this alone, you will be working within a supportive team, including people with lived experience and clinical expertise so you'll know when to draw on specialist expertise and when to keep walking alongside someone yourself. You'll build trusted relationships, provide support in homes and community settings, and coordinate the practical steps, from finding a home to setting it up and sustaining the tenancy, while connecting people to the right support along the way.
