Support clients in the respite cottage
At Uniting, we believe in taking real steps to make the world a better place. We work to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice.
We currently have multiple opportunities for permanent part-time support workers to join our overnight respite cottage. This is a permanent part time position; at Corella Cottage you will be given a set fortnightly roster which will include a variety of shifts. This may include day, afternoon, and overnight shifts.
With a focus on providing onsite care for clients on short term stays, your responsibilities can include:
Help within the Cottage: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
Personal Care: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, help at mealtime or medication administration
Transport: appointments
Social and wellbeing: accompany clients on group outings and assist with social activities within the Cottage
Qualifications and experience
Must have Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual equivalent qualifications
Medication competency a must!
Similar experience providing client centred care
Current First Aid certificate
Driver’s licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
