The role involves strengthening neighbourhood governance and supporting councillors in delivering community-led improvements. Key tasks include developing ward priority lists, building local networks, and facilitating ward meetings.
Candidates should have a background in community engagement or public-facing roles with experience in democratic or governance frameworks. Proficiency in English and Mathematics, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities, is required.
Birmingham City Council is recruiting 20 Local Partnership Officers to strengthen neighbourhood governance, support councillors in their local leadership role, and help deliver community‑led improvements across the city.
This is a dynamic, outward‑facing role. You will work directly with elected members, partners, residents, and local organisations to identify priorities, coordinate neighbourhood activity, and ensure that local issues are addressed collaboratively and effectively.
