About this Role
We are seeking a Business Protection Specialist who will contribute to enterprise-wide vulnerability and patch management programmes, supporting the protection of infrastructure, services, and the Vodafone brand. This role focuses on proactive vulnerability remediation, governance, and continuous improvement of security-related IT service processes, working closely with Group Data Centre teams, Local Markets, and technology stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Identify and monitor infrastructure and application vulnerabilities using industry-standard scanning tools
Coordinate and track remediation activities in line with agreed schedules and governance models
Support operating system patching across the installed technology baseline to maintain compliance with security standards
Design and promote preventive patching strategies, including automation and cloud-related security approaches
Facilitate governance and alignment between Local Markets and Operations teams
Produce clear, data-driven reports and KPIs for senior stakeholders and leadership forums
Contribute to vulnerability management frameworks, quality improvement initiatives, and service process optimisation
Monitor decommissioning activities to ensure compliance with defined processes and security requirements
Who you are
You bring broad technical knowledge across IT domains, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and vulnerability management
You apply a quality-driven mindset, supported by practical experience with IT service management frameworks
You are comfortable designing KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reports to support decision-making
You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style as needed
You are experienced or familiar with IT governance practices and structured service processes
You are fluent in English (minimum B2 level)
Desirable experience includes exposure to ITIL practices, vulnerability management tools, operating system environments (Windows, UNIX, Linux), and service management platforms
