The scientist will translate technical management requests into experiments and reconstruct fragrances using analytical and olfaction data. Additionally, the role involves developing analytical methods, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting the creation of foundational databases.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant discipline. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in GC/MS analysis is required, with preference given to those with experience in the fragrance, flavor, or consumer goods industries.

Translate requests of technical management into sensible experiments.
Reconstruct unknown fragrances based on analytical, olfaction and supplementary data.
Carry out analyses on known fragrances in and delivered by consumer products.
Co-develop analytical methods for known fragrance and write protocols.
Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Organize lab supplies.
Support the generation foundational data for analytical and fragrance reconstruction tools and databases.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any other relevant discipline.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in GC/MS analysis.
Experience working in fragrance/flavor or fast-moving consumer goods industry or forensic science is preferred.
Perfume ingredient knowledge (and of their chemical behavior) is preferred.
Skilled in either equipment maintenance/troubleshooting or data handling, with a proactive attitude and readiness to learn the other skill.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proactive and can anticipate issues and generate practical solutions.
Strong analytical thinking, with proven ability in data analysis and interpretation.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
Quick learner with a strong aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge.
