The technologist conducts and analyzes electroencephalography (EEG) and other neurodiagnostic tests for patients across all ages in various clinical settings. They are responsible for documenting patient history, reporting critical findings to physicians, and maintaining equipment according to infection control policies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of healthcare experience. A Registered Electroencephalogram Technologist (R. EEG T) credential is required within two years of hire, along with current CPR certification.
Within Franciscan Health, the Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist II conducts and analyses electroencephalography (EEG), and performs additional critical tests for patients across all ages. The Technologist conducts testing in the outpatient, inpatient hospital, or operating room environment, documents results, and reports findings to designated physicians.
