The Pharmacy Technician Trainee assists with prescription processing, customer service, and inventory management under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. They are responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, preparing medications, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate Degree preferred. Vermont employees are required to be registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician.

This role is intended for individuals who are actively progressing toward becoming a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
Job Summary: The Pharmacy Technician Trainee provides entry‑level assistance in prescription processing, customer service, inventory activities, and technology operations within the pharmacy. The trainee learns and practices job functions under close oversight to ensure safe, accurate, and high‑quality patient care. As skills develop, additional responsibilities may be assigned in alignment with state regulations and employer training requirements. The Trainee is actively participating in the Kinney Certification Program to become a Registered Pharmacy Technician within 2 years.
