Are you looking for more than just a job? At Chewy, you’ll find yourself on a career path alongside other incredible people—like yourself. You’ll join a team that values everything you do, who you are, and the goals you’ve set for your career. We want to give you the opportunity to grow, earn competitive pay, and be happy while you do it. Sounds simple, but we love it.
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for an experienced Product Manager to own product components and customer experiences that support the SmartPak business. You will also serve as a key customer advocate, ensuring the voice of the customer is embedded in business decisions.
Are you passionate about building seamless customer experiences? Do you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and obsess over innovating on behalf of customers? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this may be the role for you. This role will help define the next level of customer experience for SmartPak customers and partners, with meaningful opportunity for business impact.
What You’ll Do:
Own the end-to-end customer journey and product roadmap for a set of SmartPak product components or features within a broader portfolio.
Think strategically and long-term, acquire a deep understanding of the SmartPak customer, business model, and equine retail experience, and be the subject matter expert for your assigned product area.
Understand the key features and functionality of Chewy’s digital customer experience and identify opportunities to optimize, simplify, and improve SmartPak customer journeys.
Develop a keen understanding of the product design and development process, identifying areas of improvement and implementing process solutions quickly.
Contribute to product strategy for your area of ownership, providing insights, customer data, business inputs, feasibility considerations, and roadmap recommendations.
Set product priorities, build consensus, coordinate feature releases, and communicate internal and external impacts.
Utilize data to understand customer behavior, customer needs, and business objectives; enable the team to transform that knowledge into product enhancements and new features.
Write detailed requirements, use cases, user stories, and product documents, and communicate them effectively with business stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with UX Design and Research teams on customer research, ensuring new features meet customer and business needs.
Work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the vision aligns with broader company objectives.
Monitor performance of initiatives and measure the impact of product enhancements.
Communicate product strategy and status to key stakeholders across Chewy; develop or improve mechanisms for product intake, prioritization, roadmap visibility, and feature enhancement suggestions.
Balance agile product delivery with strategic priorities, identify scope or delivery risks, and make recommendations to de-risk projects.
What You’ll Need:
3+ years of progressive experience in product management or a related field; e-commerce, retail, or customer-facing digital experience preferred.
2+ years working in a Supply Chain, Transportation context or related field
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related technical or quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of ownership, customer obsession, ability to keep up with the pace of e-commerce, data-driven decision-making, big-picture thinking, and the ability to think through complex systems design solutions.
Experience developing product strategy, defining detailed product requirements, prioritizing product roadmaps, leading cross-functional work, and working at a fast pace to deliver results.
