Summary
Incumbents apply in-depth knowledge in a specific area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under minimum Supervision. Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions. Unusual problems are solved jointly with manager. Work is reviewed for application of sound technical judgment. May lead a work group or project team consisting of technical and support staff. Detailed Description
Specialist level position for engineers who provide engineering support in these areas. Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
Shift Requirement: Friday – Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Must be able to work Fri-Sun 5am-5pm)
Provides off-shift technical coverage for critical cooling and environmental control systems to prevent facility downtime during non-standard hours.
Required experience: 3+ years managing high-density cooling infrastructure (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, chillers) in data centers or high-uptime manufacturing environments.
Responsible for the production of site utilities (gas, water, electricity) to produce steam, chilled water, de-ionized water, and compressed air for manufacturing.
Ensures facility is always in compliance with all local and government regulations.
Provides technical direction to facilities staff and directs same in non-routine work as applicable.
Works with management and technical staff to formulate plans on equipment placement and replacement as necessary.
Coordinates contract services, inspections, and audits as necessary.
Manages multiple projects varying in complexity using solid project management skills and tools.
Drives the supplier/contractor selection process and ensures that all orders/requisitions are placed with all necessary drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Monitors and reports progress status of projects along with quality, schedule, safety, security, productivity, administration, and worksite appearance to site management team and evaluates contractors on these aspects.
Performs periodic reviews of EHS programs and initiatives to identify and control risks.
Ensures compliance with ISO 50001:2011 – Energy Management System Standards.
Responsible for the design, deployment, implementation, and support of Celestica's Energy Management.

Engineering Foundation Competencies:
3+ years managing high-density cooling infrastructure (CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, chillers) in data centers or high-uptime manufacturing environments.
Physical Demands
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
