Reporting to the Zonal Manager North Strategic Account, the Strategic Account Manager - UP is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong customer relationships within the assigned territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial sales, delivering value-driven solutions to customers while leveraging innovative sales tools and strategies to achieve business success. The position will be located in Lucknow (onsite with extensive field travel).
Responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
· Managing and growing the assigned territory by executing tactical sales plans to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets
· Driving new customer acquisition while identifying untapped opportunities within existing accounts
· Strengthening customer relationships through value-based selling and effective negotiation to deliver win-win outcomes
· Improving sales efficiency through disciplined use of tools such as sales funnels and SFDC
· Partnering with internal teams and distributors to ensure smooth operations, including payment collections and issue resolution
· Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to refine sales strategies and drive performance
· Travel Requirement: This is a field-intensive role involving approximately 60–70% travel within the assigned territory (Lucknow and the surrounding Industrial regions). Travel is typically planned in advance, with 2–4 nights per week on average spent in the field, offering flexibility to structure visits and manage schedules effectively based on business priorities.
· Willingness to travel up to 2 to 4 days per week (nights away from home)
· 8 years+ of field sales experience in industrial products or capital goods. Should be familiar with Pune territory.
· Proven experience in direct (B2B) field sales within a defined territory
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline (or non-engineering degree with strong industrial sales experience)
· Hands-on experience using CRM tools (e.g., SFDC/Salesforce) and sales funnel management
