Job Description

As a Senior GST Analyst, you will be part of the Tax & Finance function and will be responsible for managing end-to-end indirect tax compliance, advisory, and process optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams.

You will be reporting to the Manager, Tax and working onsite in Delhi, India. 

Your Responsibilities: 

Indirect tax compliance

• Monthly tax computation, Timely payment and filing of returns for GST

• Manage changes to be made in SAP processes to implement the changes made in tax regulations

• Work closely with cross functions like Finance, logistics, Customer care to ensure availability of required information/documents

Tax Risk assessment, mitigation and optimization

• Provide/ arrange documents and prepare working for tax assessment

• Provide/ arrange documents and prepare working for refund claim applications

• Provide/ arrange documents and prepare working for Stat. Audit, GST audit, Internal Audit etc.

Indirect tax litigation and manage relationship.

• Arrange/collects information and documents as required to justify the position taken by organization on disputed issue

• Co-ordinate with consultants/counsels to assess the merits of the issue involved as disputed by tax authority

• Held meetings with various cross functions to address their concerns and provide solution to issues in time line manner

Indirect Tax Advisory

• Advise on day-to-day basis the business units and cross functions on indirect tax matters in time line manner

Tax Accounting

• Preparation & submission of monthly reconciliation to Global Finance Operation team

• Timely and precise reconciliation of all the indirect tax accounts

• Timely posting of monthly entries related to GST

Tax Automation and Process Improvement

• Understand existing process of preparation of GSTR-3B, GSTR-1, RCM working thoroughly and then lead the project to automate the process and apply best standard practices

• Review all tax positions in the GST return are in line with GST laws

• Develop mechanism and process to prepare various reconciliations of sales, GST liability, GST-ITC (Books VS GST Portal/ 3B VS 2A/2B) in the best possible manner

• Identify improvement areas in the tax function and then take required necessary steps

GST Presentations & Trainings

• Prepare GST dashboards on monthly basis to present high level summary of status of compliance, impediments etc.

• Provides trainings to entire finance team (ITC, RCM etc.)

• Regular tax updates on news alerts, circulars, notifications and potential impact on the Company

• Prepare GST related PPT’s and SOP (standard procedures of working) followed during working

The Essentials – You Will Have: 

• Qualified Chartered Accountant. 

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in indirect taxation with large organizations or firms. 

• Expert-level understanding of GST laws, rules, and compliance requirements

• Hands-on experience working on ERP/SAP-based integrated systems.
