The Co-op will perform 3D CAD modeling and create detailed 2D drawings for surgical operating room products. They will also build functional prototypes and conduct verification testing to support next-generation product development.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering with completed sophomore requirements. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and experience with basic hand tools are required.
The Mechanical Engineering Co-op will contribute to next‑generation product development for the surgical operating room environment as a key member of a cross‑functional design team. In this role, the Co-op will perform 3D CAD modeling, create detailed 2D drawings, and support hands‑on assembly and verification testing activities. The position also offers exposure to the processes and documentation required for successful medical device development, along with opportunities to gain practical experience in rapid prototyping, troubleshooting, product testing, and collaborating with engineers across multiple disciplines.
Students may have the opportunity to return for multiple co-op rotations.
Pay range for this opportunity is $23-27/hr.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
