Allegion is seeking a Controls intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This is a great opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a unique manufacturing and automation environment. This position will work closely with experienced Controls engineers and technicians, contributing to real-world projects gaining valuable skills in industrial automation.

What You Will Do:
Assist with development and troubleshooting of new and existing automation systems
Work with industrial communication networks and infrastructure
Assist in creating and updating electrical and pneumatic schematics, prints, and technical documentation
Support the installation, testing, and startup of new equipment on the manufacturing floor
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action for controls-related issues
Assist in maintaining software backups and version control for automation systems
What You Need to Succeed:
Currently enrolled in an engineering, engineering technology, computer science, technical, or related field of study
Basic understanding of electrical circuits and a willingness to continue learning
Strong problem-solving skills with a tenacity for finding the root cause of issues and implementing solutions
Aptitude for technical communication and the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as executing on tasks independently
Eagerness to learn new technologies
