Markets Treasury sits at the heart of how the Group manages liquidity, cash and funding—while actively overseeing structural interest rate risk and the Liquid Asset Buffer (LAB). Operating as a truly global function, the team partners closely with Group Treasury, Entity Treasury and local ALCOs to keep the bank resilient, well-funded and ready to move at pace. In HSBC Private Bank (Suisse), Markets Treasury is a dedicated team, separate from Capital Markets (Client Facilitation), with a clear mandate and real impact on day-to-day liquidity and funding decisions.

What you will do: 

The Analyst, Markets Treasury  is part of the Funding & Liquidity team, reporting directly to the Senior Funding and Liquidity Manager. You’ll be right at the centre of the action, helping steer day-to-day cash and liquidity management and supporting wholesale funding activity that keeps the business moving smoothly and confidently

In this role you will:

• Manage daily cash positions by deploying surplus cash and funding shortfalls efficiently.
• Oversee multi-currency liquidity including foreign currency cash positions with nostro agents and/or central banks, in line with local and cross-border requirements.
• Support delivery of liquidity ratios across all material currencies, helping ensure ongoing regulatory and internal compliance.
• Execute liquidity strategy using approved instruments such as money market products and FX swaps.
• Support secured funding activity, including repo and reverse repo, to optimise funding and balance sheet usage.
• Partner closely with stakeholders across Operations, counterparties, and Group/Entity Treasury on liquidity policy and execution.
• Balance revenue and risk by optimising returns without compromising liquidity, and managing market risks arising from cash deployment and interest rate risk buy-in.
• Maintain strong conduct, controls and teamwork by following desk standards, escalating issues appropriately, building expertise, and supporting colleagues across the entity.

You should apply if you have:

• Degree in economics, management, or a related field
• Ability to learn quickly and trade money market products, including FX swaps and repos.
• Understanding of markets and macroeconomics
• Bloomberg knowledge (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills
• Clear, confident communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Advanced technical capability, with the ability to build and maintain models (including Python)
• Proactive team player who can also work independently
