This leadership role involves overseeing the English language department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and curriculum development, and guiding a team of teachers to achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the English Department to ensure excellence in teaching and learning.
Develop, implement, and monitor the English curriculum in line with the school’s academic standards.
Support, mentor, and evaluate English teachers through coaching, lesson observations, and performance feedback.
Monitor students’ academic progress and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.
Ensure high-quality planning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum delivery across all grade levels.
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and positive learning environment within the department.
Coordinate departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
Work closely with the School Leadership Team to achieve the school’s strategic objectives.
Promote continuous professional development and best teaching practices.
Ensure compliance with all school policies, safeguarding requirements, and academic expectations
