The Driver, Wrecker is responsible for operating heavy-duty wrecker equipment to safely tow and transport vehicles to auction. They must also maintain their equipment, log trips, and report any vehicle defects or accidents.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with proper endorsements is required.

Job Summary:
The Driver, Wrecker is responsible for operating heavy duty wrecker automotive equipment to tow and transport vehicles. This role supports operations by relocating vehicles to be brought to auction.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Drive, operate, and maintain wrecker trucks. Rig vehicles to be righted or towed using approved procedures.
Observe instruments while operating the vehicle. Make necessary routine repair as necessary.
Transport vehicles to and from the lot.
Record and log trips. Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.
Clean and maintain work area and associated tools and machinery.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery, including wrecker or tow trucks.
Knowledge & Skills:
Valid Commercial Driver’s License with proper endorsements.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Proven communication and interaction skills.
Demonstrated skill with minor automotive repair or maintenance
Proven ability to operate trucks or machinery.
Ability to work both inside automotive machinery or outside in varying conditions as required.
Able to operate and manipulate equipment or machinery as necessary to perform role.
Must be able to position self to rig vehicles, which may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, standing, and sitting.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 50 lbs. for various needs.
