Job DetailsJob Location: Goodwill Main Plant-GWIMP - Miami, FL 33142Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManufacturingSummary: Responsible for accurate and updated movements of components, including receiving incoming deliveries into stock from the Receiving Agent. Verifying amounts received, segregating and warehousing components by date received, lot number, elasticity, shade, or any other as required. Staging FIFO daily component deliveries to the production floor as specified in material requisition forms received from production supervisors. Entering the corresponding Manufacturing Order issue transaction into Accellos handheld scanners to maintain real-time data transaction entry and keeping updated and precise inventory figures in Great Plains software. Also responsible for monthly physical inventory counts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains emergency stock levels and notifies the supervisor when emergency stock level is reached.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
A forklift license is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Great Plains is a must.
Experience in inventory control procedures preferred.
Highly organized and able to meet periodic deadlines. Carefully proof own work.
Proficient in Excel (spreadsheet design and data entry) and computer literate. The background should include data entry, data analysis, and document control.
Good verbal communication skills.
Experience in an apparel manufacturing environment or quality control is a plus.
Mathematical Skills
Intermediate mathematical skills for inventory calculations.

The Results: Despite that great need, in 2018, the agency provided disability services to nearly 6,400 South Floridians and is the 17th largest employer in Miami.
How we do it: Goodwill engages in a unique social entrepreneurism model that funds services and employment for over 3,100 persons with disabilities in South Florida. Although most known for its Goodwill donation centers and retail stores, the organization’s other entrepreneurial businesses include Apparel Manufacturing, Custodial Services, Laundry Services and other Business Services, which directly train and employ a large number of people with disabilities while providing mission funding. South Florida’s Goodwill Industries is one of the most cost-effective non-profits in the U.S with 96% of its budget going directly to job training programs.
But our work is not easy or quick. It takes a long-term commitment to battle employment barriers such as physical or mental disabilities, economic instability, or lack of education.
