We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Distribution team. The Inventory Control Specialist will conduct cycle counts on a daily basis, bin validations, appropriate system research and transactions to document root cause of inventory discrepancies while assisting all departments.
What You’ll Do
Perform random cycle counts of product on a daily basis based on ABC classification.
Reconcile variances found during the cycle counts and make corrections.
Compile inventory accuracy detail based on the cycle counting.
Reconcile negative inventory issues and discrepancies.
Provide feedback to appropriate functional groups on gaps to inventory control compliance issues for quick resolution and permanent corrective actions.
Lead and participate in projects/kaizen events for continuous improvement in inventory control and material transactions.
Operate forklift and scissor lift during daily duties.
Perform daily housekeeping tasks as required.
Correctly use inventory control system to move product between locations.
Complete daily scan gun audits.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of shipping, receiving, or inventory control experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail/accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player.
Strong computer skills and basic understanding of ERP and the production process.
Prior work experience in inventory control and cycle counting in a manufacturing environment.
Previous shipping and receiving experience in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and ability to change priorities quickly and remain positive.
Customer focused with a strong aptitude for quickly learning part numbers.
