Independently diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on refuse trucks and heavy equipment. Perform DOT-compliant inspections and mentor Level C technicians to ensure fleet uptime.
Requires a high school diploma and 3-5+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic. A valid CDL Class B with air brake endorsement and ASE certifications are strongly preferred.

The Level B Fleet Mechanic/Technician is a journeyman-level role responsible for independent diagnosis and repair of most mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on refuse trucks, heavy trucks/tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role also mentors Level C technicians, supports road calls, and ensures high uptime and DOT compliance for the fleet.
