Information about the position
As an AML/CTF Quality Assurance Analyst at Vinted Pay, you’ll play an important role in ensuring that our AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud prevention and wider financial crime controls are effective, consistent and aligned with regulatory expectations.
This position sits within the second line of defence and will work closely with the MLRO, Sanctions Officer (SO) and Fraud Prevention Officer (FPO). You will provide independent quality assurance, oversight and challenge over first line AML/CTF operations, while helping the business improve control quality, documentation standards and operational consistency.
You will be responsible for oversight of 1st line of defense quality assurance processes, including onboarding/KYC, SDD/CDD/EDD, PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening, transaction monitoring, alert handling, internal investigations, SAR/STR documentation, fraud-related financial crime controls and case management as well as quality control of internal technical setups and setup of 3rd party providers. You will also help ensure that internal documentation, procedures and controls remain aligned with applicable regulatory standards and supervisory expectations.
In this position, you’ll
Provide second line oversight over first line QA operations, including review of QA outputs, trends, defect themes, remediation quality and consistency of standards.
Own and maintain QA-related policies, procedures, methodologies, sampling plans, scorecards, testing scripts and reporting templates.
Assess whether technical solutions and third-party provider setups operate as expected and are aligned with internal requirements, regulatory expectations and documented procedures.
Identify defects, control gaps, trends and recurring issues, and provide practical recommendations for remediation. Track remediation actions and follow up with relevant teams until issues are resolved.
Prepare periodic QA reports for the MLRO and senior leadership, highlighting key findings, trends, risks and remediation status.
Support audit, regulatory and supervisory readiness by preparing QA evidence, examples, management information and control documentation.
Review internal documentation and controls to ensure alignment with AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud prevention and wider financial crime regulatory standards.
Turn QA findings into practical guidance, training input and process improvements for operational teams.
Escalate material issues, control weaknesses or regulatory alignment gaps to the MLRO and relevant senior stakeholders.
Work closely with AML & Risk Operations, Compliance, Product, Data, Legal, Fraud Prevention, Sanctions, Customer Support and external vendors to improve control quality upstream.
About you
Proven experience within EU based financial institution (either in QA, AML/CTF management/operations, or audit)
Good knowledge of relevant AML/CTF regulation
You can review a file and quickly tell what’s missing: evidence, logic, risk rationale, or just good documentation
Confident with PEP, sanctions screening concepts, TM models, metrics and trend analysis (and comfortable challenging decisions respectfully)
Clear, practical communicator - you can write feedback that people actually understand and act on
Independent mindset with good judgement: you know when something is a minor fix vs. a real control issue
Fluent English

A dog-friendly office
In Vilnius office: gym & in-house meals at friendly prices
In Kaunas office: a monthly lunch allowance, and a once-a-week provided in-house lunch and breakfast
