The Senior Contract Manager will implement contract management processes and claim strategies while safeguarding project performance and financial KPIs. They will also lead contract negotiations and provide strategic guidance to project teams to ensure commercial excellence.
The role requires extensive experience in managing the full lifecycle of contracts, including risk monitoring and commercial governance. Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively with legal, procurement, and project management teams to ensure compliance and alignment with company guidelines.
• Implement contract management processes and claim strategies in line with company guidelines and processes and Project requirements
• Analyze contracts by identifying formal requirements, claim and risk implications, invoicing plans, and opportunities within bid- and execution stage of projects
• Handle contractual correspondence and documentation and ensure compliant notifications.
• Guidance to the Project team/s by understanding and interpreting the contracts
• Raise awareness of all relevant project participants for the operational implementation of Contract Management strategies
• Drive the change- / claims processes end‑to‑end: identifying, documenting, preparing, positioning, and resolving them
• Safeguard project performance and financial KPIs by proactively managing contractual obligations, entitlements, and risks.
• Provide strategic contractual guidance to project teams, enabling informed decisions and strong commercial control.
• Manage the full lifecycle of contract administration — including commercial governance, reporting, and risk monitoring in line with Vanderlande’s Contract Management Office and related company processes and guidelines
• Support and where necessary lead contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors / suppliers to ensure outcomes in compliance with applying strategies and objectives.
• Review of Purchasing / Subcontract contracts and provide contractual advice to the procurement team.
• Collaborate closely with Contract Management Office, Project Managers, Legal, Procurement, and Finance to ensure alignment and commercial excellence.
