Responsibilities
The practitioner is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating specialized technical security training using blended learning methodologies. They must ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor the impact of learning interventions to provide continuous improvement recommendations.
Requirements
Candidates must have an NQF level 6 qualification in Education, Training and Development, a PSIRA Grade A certificate, and PFTC certification in Supervise Firearm Training. A minimum of five years of operational security experience is required, including at least three years in learning and development facilitation.
Full job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
Plan and prioritise training needs, interventions and resources to ensure training and development align with operational requirements.
Engage with key stakeholders to meet all regulatory and business requirements, ensuring compliance and high-quality learning.
Perform learning and administrative duties, serving as the main point of contact for clients regarding security training.
Conduct both formative and summative assessments to evaluate staff competence through workplace or virtual training methods.
Monitor the quality and impact of learning and development interventions, compile integrated reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training solutions.
Proactively broaden knowledge within the functional area, displaying a willingness to improve personal work methods and practices.

Function
To provide a security risk service for the group in terms of personnel security vetting, risk and threat analysis as well as other specialized areas pertaining to information security and countermeasures;
To provide security execution commensurate with the security risk through the provision of a robust and resilient physical protection system for the SARB Group in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures;
To develop and implement a security governance framework for the Group;
To provide a security system including the Firearms Management function and to provide quality driven ETD solutions that meet the security training needs of the Group;
To monitor implementation and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and to provide administrative support and project management for the department; and
To provide Human Resources services, advice and leadership to the department.
