Everything we do is rooted in our core values: Encourage Trust, Have Fun, Show Kindness, Lead With Purpose, and Commit to Excellence.
The Opportunity

This role is ideal for an experienced line cook or junior kitchen leader who's ready to take ownership of a station, mentor teammates, and contribute to the ongoing success of a fast-paced kitchen. Working primarily evening shifts, you'll play a key role in driving execution, developing your team, and ensuring every plate leaves the kitchen to the highest standard.
Wage and Perks of the Job
$27.00 - $32.00 hourly wage based on experience and qualifications plus tips!
Wellness Benefit Stipend – spend it your way, whether that's fitness, health, adventure or something that supports your wellbeing
50% off food & beverage at all Gibbons venues
Adventure perks: 20% off The Adventure Group for you and your friends & family
Accommodation discounts: 20% off at The Adara Hotel and Gibbons Life Condos
Wellness perks: 20% off at The Spa at Whistler
Exclusive partner discounts at local Whistler businesses
Flexible schedules and a supportive team culture
Access to community events and staff appreciation nights
Growth opportunities in Whistler’s most dynamic hospitality group – we’re passionate about promoting from within and supporting your career journey.
Immersive work environment steps from the mountains – we take our core purpose of “Have Fun” very seriously.
What You Bring to the Table
Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a leadership role, such as Chef de Partie, Lead Line Cook, or Shift Lead.
Ability to confidently lead a station and work independently during busy service periods.
Strong organizational skills with a focus on preparation, consistency, and execution.
Passion for coaching and developing junior team members.
Experience with food safety, inventory management, and kitchen organization.
Calm, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to perform under pressure.
Food Safe certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Your Days Will Look Like
Lead your station with urgency, organization, and attention to detail throughout prep and service.
Coach and support cooks through hands-on training, demonstrations, and on-shift feedback.
Delegate prep tasks effectively while ensuring readiness for service.
Maintain recipe standards, food quality, and plating consistency.
Minimize food waste through proper rotation, labeling, and portion control.
Communicate ordering needs, product shortages, and station requirements proactively.
Contribute seasonal feature ideas and participate in menu tastings and culinary development.
Partner with the Sous Chef to improve labour efficiency, kitchen performance, and guest satisfaction.
Take ownership of guest feedback related to food quality and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative kitchen culture by leading through example.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you're ready to grow your culinary leadership career in one of Whistler's busiest kitchens, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and join Longhorn Saloon, where great food, great people, and unforgettable experiences come together every day.
