The Leader in Training supports convenience store operations by filling in for various management roles and training to become a Store Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing daily workflow, recruiting and coaching team members, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and age-restricted sales policies.
Candidates must have at least one year of Assistant Manager experience within the company or two or more years of prior retail management experience. Required certifications include tobacco, TABC, and Food Manager certifications, along with the ability to travel 50% of the time.
Summary:
The Leader in Training (LIT)
position supports convenience store operations by filling
in for Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Food Managers and occasionally
Guest Service Representatives in emergency situations. Likewise, the LIT position
transfers to a regular Store Manager position once training is completed,
satisfactory performance is achieved, and a Store Manager opportunity becomes
available. This position requires a broad base knowledge of all store types including
those with a deli, lube center and car wash. The Leader in Training assists in
fulfilling all duties normally assigned to the Store Manager and works closely
with the Store Manager& District Manager to keep them informed of site
operations. The LIT position is considered an internal promotional opportunity
from Assistant Store Manager or Guest Service Representative (with previous
management experience). Leader in Training positions are transferred to any store
tier that requires a Store Manager position to be filled.

Education & Experience:

No degree required;
·
1 year of Assistant Manager
experience within Toot’n Totum OR;
·
2+ years of prior retail
management experience
Physical Requirements:
·
Ability to sit (10%),
stand (50%), walk (20%), kneel/squat (10%) and bend (10%).
·
Ability to push,
lift and pull up to 50lbs.
·
Ability to move
and position self to operate in, near and around merchandise components, back
rooms, coolers, kitchens, shelving, etc.
·
Position requires
grasping and utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination and
the utilization of color vision.
·
Must be able to access
and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
