The Operating Room Assistant supports the surgical team by maintaining a clean and orderly environment and transporting patients and medical materials. They also assist with stocking supplies and performing various support tasks to ensure efficient departmental operations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current BLS for Provider certification. One year of previous medical experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center is the South Metro area’s full-service medical center, with the friendly feel of a community hospital and the skill and services of a much larger medical center. Among our specialties: stroke, chest pain, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cancer care and orthopedic and total joint surgery. Plus, a birth center and breast health center.
Support nursing staff as part of the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Transport blood, specimens, and other materials within Surgical Services.
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in operating rooms and surrounding areas.
Stock supplies and maintain overall orderliness of assigned department spaces.
Assist with patient transportation as needed.
Complete additional errands and support tasks as assigned to facilitate smooth departmental operations.
