GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION |
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a hands-on role in supporting individuals with disabilities as they engage in meaningful work, recreation, volunteering, or daily living activities in both community and facility-based settings. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and social inclusion by providing direct assistance, skill-building, and encouragement aligned with each participant’s individual service plan. DSPs are the frontline champions of participation, helping people show up fully in their communities while ensuring their health, dignity, and well-being are always front and center. |
