Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business and over 10 years of experience in regulated manufacturing environments. Expertise in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred) and a strong understanding of GMP regulations are required.
The Director, Process Excellence serves as a key member of the Philadelphia Site Leadership Team and is responsible for driving enterprise-aligned process excellence, continuous improvement, and operational transformation across the site. This role integrates continuous improvement (CI), Lean/Six Sigma deployment, business process excellence, and change management into a cohesive operating system that enables scalable growth, consistent execution, and superior customer experience. The Director ensures enterprise strategies (e.g., The Catalent Way, CSS strategic pillars, and global Process Excellence initiatives) are translated into site-level execution through structured deployment systems (e.g., Hoshin Kanri), and establishes a closed-loop management system connecting strategy, performance, and daily operations. Additionally, the role drives site-wide transformation efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced problem-solving methodologies, building a sustainable culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
