Quality Control Analyst
Location: New Jersey - must be a New Jersey resident of and live in New Jersey

Must live in or near PSEGNJ service territory, preferably from regions identified by the state of New Jersey as Overburdened Communities (https://dep.nj.gov/ej/communities/).

About the Opportunity
mcfa is proud to partner with a leading energy and sustainability consulting organization to identify a Quality Control Analyst to support a high-impact energy efficiency program serving communities across New Jersey. This role is instrumental in maintaining data integrity, ensuring quality assurance standards, and supporting the successful delivery of energy efficiency initiatives through collaboration with internal teams, Trade Allies, and client stakeholders.

Position Summary
The Program Admin - QC Lead will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of energy efficiency program data and project pipelines. Working closely with client management, Trade Allies (contractors), and the client's QA/QC team, the Analyst will be responsible for running exception reports, conducting comprehensive pipeline reviews, identifying outliers and trends, stakeholder coordination, and supporting program forecasting and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong Excel and data review skills, excellent follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate across internal teams, contractors/Trade Allies, and client stakeholders in a fast-paced program environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the program admin and quality-control point of contact for escalated project matters, executive complaints, sensitive Trade Ally concerns, and client requests that require coordinated investigation and follow-through.
  • Coordinate escalated matters with the client by gathering and validating the relevant facts, identifying the appropriate internal owners, documenting decisions and dependencies, communicating status, and tracking corrective actions through confirmed resolution.
  • Run and maintain Excel-based exception reports to proactively identify missing documentation, duplicate submissions, out-of-range inputs, cost or savings anomalies, and other data quality concerns.
  • Analyze project pipeline data to identify trends, outliers, and potential compliance issues; escalate findings and recommend corrective actions to TRC management.
  • Collaborate with TRC management to define, refine, and standardize QA/QC review parameters across the energy efficiency program portfolio.
  • Coordinate with the client's QA/QC team to align on review standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new Trade Allies (contractors), addressing inquiries, resolving escalations, and ensuring adherence to program guidelines.
  • Support short- and long-term forecasting of program production and goal attainment through pipeline data analysis.
  • Document QC findings clearly, escalate issues timely, and recommend corrective actions to improve project accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and present PowerPoint presentations to management detailing QC findings and trends.
  • Coordinate with internal project teams, planning/reporting teams, outreach staff, management, Trade Allies, and the client QA/QC team to align on requirements, resolve issues, and maintain consistent review standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal project, planning, and management teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Learn, understand, and apply energy efficiency principles and mathematical models.
  • Provide timely client support with commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Apply appropriate principles, theories, and concepts to complete assignments within timeframe required.
  • Participate in and deliver internal and external trainings.
  • Participate in and attend Trade Ally events and trainings.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
    • Responsible for maintenance and fees of the transportation vehicle.
    • Must live in or near PSEGNJ service territory, preferably from regions identified by the state of New Jersey as Overburdened Communities ( https://dep.nj.gov/ej/communities/ ).

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Ability to attend site visits throughout the State of New Jersey.
  • Strong computer and record-keeping skills: proficiency in MS Excel and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Ability to handle a high volume of combined inquiries, workbook, database, and documentation reviews.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, exception reporting, and data analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse customers and contractors effectively and respectfully.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with up to 5 years of professional experience. Considered an emerging authority and SME in related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience in QA/QC, data analysis, forecasting, pipeline management, or accounts receivable.
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, or Trade Allies preferred.
  • Technical, engineering, sustainability, LEED, CEM, or energy-related background or credentials are a plus.
