Overview Support data governance, quality, and service excellence for the Alumni Network. You will steward high‑confidentiality alumni data across Engage (a Salesforce system), KPMG Connect, PeopleSoft, and various external sources (e.g., LinkedIn) to maintain accurate records, enable smooth event operations, and strengthen business development and relationship tracking. The role demands exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment within defined standards, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Data stewardship and validation
•Own day‑to‑day alumni data validation and administration in the primary systems (Engage, KPMG Connect, PeopleSoft)
•Run weekly data validation: extract reports, validate records, and return corrections with clear documentation.
•Maintain and govern key alumni data attributes; ensure accurate tagging to campaigns and strategic initiatives within Engage.
•Execute post‑release data integrity checks following system enhancements.
•Ensure adherence to data standards, business rules, and governance policies.
Research and profile enrichment
•Conduct structured research to resolve incomplete, inconsistent, or ambiguous records.
•Validate identity through cross‑referencing system data, LinkedIn, and other approved external sources.
•Enrich alumni profiles with verified data points; ensure all updates are validated and compliant prior to system entry.
Issue management, triage, and escalation
•Identify, classify, and resolve data issues (duplicates, conflicts, incomplete records, identity/name changes) using defined resolution rules.
•Triage and manage administration/process queries; drive closure with strong SLA focus and customer service.
•Apply judgment in ambiguous cases and escalate complex or non‑standard exceptions to onshore data stewards
•Track recurring issues and contribute to root cause analysis and preventive actions.

Reporting, monitoring, and controls
•Maintain data quality logs, validation trackers, and audit trails to ensure traceability
•Support reporting and dashboards in Engage/Salesforce (where applicable) based on stakeholder needs
•Monitor and report on accuracy, turnaround time, and SLA/KPI compliance
Process standardization and continuous improvement
•Help codify judgment‑based decisions into clear SOPs; reduce reliance on tacit knowledge
•Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data quality and governance maturity
•Share best practices and contribute to playbooks and knowledge bases

Data stewardship competencies
•Solid understanding of data quality principles and governance concepts

Technical skills
•Hands‑on experience with CRM/data platforms and reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce)
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 products for tracking, reconciliation, and analysis
•Familiarity with LinkedIn and other external research tools
