Full job description
Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, Communication and Policy Advocacy will lead the development and execution of oncology-focused Corporate Affairs strategies in France that support the company’s mission of revolutionizing treatment for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. These Corporate Affairs strategies bring together media relations, corporate public affairs, product communications, corporate reputation management and internal communications.
This is an intentionally broad remit, spanning a wide range of disciplines. We are realistic that priorities will need to be set and will evolve over time. We are seeking a versatile leader who approaches this breadth as an opportunity and who understands that the scope of the role reflects the scale of our ambition as a growing business.
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Affairs, Communication and Policy Advocacy, Europe with a strong dotted line to the General Manager, France, this role ensures that the Corporate Affairs strategy is primarily supporting local priorities and market requirements. The strategy should also be aligned with regional and global Corporate Affairs strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations
Acts as spokesperson in France, directing enquiries to internal experts as needed.
Drives proactive media content and strategy around trial results, regulatory milestones, and major oncology congresses (ASCO, ESMO).
Builds and maintains trusted relationships with top-tier media in France and trade media, ensuring accurate representation of company positions and achievements.
Monitors media coverage and sentiment, flagging emerging narratives before they require a crisis response.
Ensures consistent messaging across earned, owned, and shared channels, and aligns spokesperson strategy and media plans with global priorities.
Corporate Reputation Management and Corporate Public Affairs
Owns the country-level corporate reputation strategy for France, ensuring consistency with the global corporate narrative and brand.
Monitors reputation indicators and stakeholder sentiment, giving leadership early warning of emerging risks and opportunities.
Leads local crisis and issues management, protecting and enhancing the company's reputation during sensitive events.
Builds executive visibility and thought leadership within the local business, healthcare, and policy community, positioning leaders as trusted voices on oncology innovation.
In partnership with the local Value, Market Access and Pricing team, pursues corporate Public Affairs activities, including engagement with government and stakeholder institutions in France on broader company issues.
Maps and monitors the evolving policy environment in France, including government, institutions, and regulatory bodies, flagging risks and opportunities to the business.
Internal Communication
Partners with the GM, HR, and corporate functions to build a culture of transparency and pride in the company's oncology impact.
Designs engagement strategies that build genuine commitment and translate strategy into clear priorities employees can act on.
Aligns internal messaging with external priorities, cascading France policy and access milestones through engaging channels.
Product and Disease Area Communications
Leads oncology communications strategy in France across disease awareness, launch, and lifecycle, including congress activity (ASCO, ESMO) that translates clinical data for HCP and media audiences, where and how permitted under local regulatory requirements.
Creates disease-awareness content for patients and caregivers, and partners with Medical Affairs to translate clinical data into HCP-facing communications.
Ensures communications comply with European promotional codes (EFPIA) and local regulations, maintaining clear promotional/non-promotional distinction and ethical standards.
Capability Building (Tech and AI) and Regional Alignment
Builds team fluency in AI-enabled tools for audience insight, message drafting, and real-time measurement and sets clear standards for responsible, compliant use.
Develops best-practice toolkits, guidance, and training that build local advocacy and policy capacity, including AI and digital literacy.
Treats digital and AI-enabled engagement as core, not optional, to contemporary corporate affairs & communications.
Fosters cross-country learning and alignment on both policy initiatives and emerging tools and practice.
Partners with Region and Global to align communications in France with the global narrative, feeding in policy insights, advocacy trends, and oncology milestones.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Degree in Law, Communications, Political Science, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Excellent leadership, influence, and team mindset.
Strong ability to develop and deliver impactful Communications and Public Affairs campaigns.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including storytelling and policy translation for lay audiences.
Skilled in managing complex stakeholder environments and partnerships.
Minimum 10 years in Communications and Public Affairs in oncology.
Strong digital communications skills, with experience running campaigns and stakeholder engagement across web, social, and other digital channels.
Hands-on fluency with generative AI tools for communications workflows (drafting, monitoring, sentiment analysis), with an understanding of responsible use, disclosure, and governance in a regulated industry.
Deep understanding of the European healthcare policy and oncology landscape.
Proven track record of engaging with patient organizations, industry associations, and policymakers to deliver tangible policy and access outcomes.
Experience launching new oncology medicines and shaping policy to enable faster patient access.
Familiarity with reimbursement, HTA processes, and access barriers in oncology.
Travel: Approximately 50% of time.
Preferred Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system in France, reimbursement landscape, regulatory frameworks, and policy-making processes.
Proven track record of successfully influencing healthcare policy and stakeholder perspectives in competitive markets.
Strong strategic and analytical skills with ability to translate vision into actionable plans and navigate complex healthcare policy challenges.
Successful experience in cross-functional collaboration within matrix organizations and fast-paced entrepreneurial environments.

Proficiency with MS Office and common business applications.

Revolution Medicine enables physicians to integrate personalized medicine into their practices in order to more effectively treat patients.
Our genes play an important role in determining how we respond to about 75% of prescription drugs. Scientific research has demonstrated which genes predict these responses. According to the American Medical Association (AMA), 98% of physicians agree that knowing a patient’s genetic profile would help in prescribing medications. Yet, 90% of physicians do not feel they are adequately informed about how to apply genetic testing to treatment decisions.
Our mission is to improve the quality of patient care by helping doctors determine optimal treatment strategies and more accurately predict treatment responses. Revolution Medicine has developed ScriptMatch, an analytical process that enables physicians to easily incorporate genetic testing into their practices.
Our company solves a major issue in the clinical market and addresses an emerging trend in patient-driven healthcare: having clinical results that become part of the medical record and applicable to future treatments.
