Opened in February 2024, Northern Private Hospital facilities include 4 operating theatres, cardiac cathertisation laboratory, day chemotherapy, sleep study unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology. The Northern Private is also directly linked to Northern Public Hospital. The hospital is operated and owned by Ramsay Health Care. An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced clinician to join our management team at Northern Private Hospital! As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be taking on a key leadership role within our medical ward.
You’ll be working closely with the clinical team to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources. This will be with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures and best practice. Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services, you will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed.
The successful NUM thrives in a complex and demanding environment and is able to work collaboratively with medical, nursing and executive colleagues. They strive for continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives, workforce management and effective resource utilisation to achieve excellence in care delivery.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset, with recent management experience. You will also bring the following:
