The Histotechnician is responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic diagnosis through grossing, embedding, sectioning, and staining. They must maintain laboratory equipment and adhere to strict safety and quality protocols to ensure precise diagnostic results.
Candidates must have an associate degree in chemical/biological sciences or medical laboratory technology and specific semester hours in chemistry and biology. A minimum of one year of experience in an anatomic pathology laboratory is preferred.
The Histotechnician - Lab is responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic diagnosis through grossing, embedding, sectioning, and staining. This position demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality to ensure precise diagnostic results.
This is a Second Shift position: Either 2 pm -10 pm or 3 pm - 11 pm Monday - Friday.
