The Pharmacy Stock Technician manages inventory control, receives wholesaler shipments, and restocks medication carts and Pyxis systems. They are also responsible for preparing sterile formulations and bulk medications under pharmacist supervision.
Requires a high school diploma and a Michigan Pharmacy Technician license or intern license, with national certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required within 90 days. Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
This Team is currently comprised of 5 Stock Tech Pharmacy Technicians who support Butterworth and Blodgett Hospitals. This Stock Team Technician would flex between the two sites, as needed, to support workloads and PTO. Team goal is to efficiently and to safely process daily workload tasks. We welcome fresh eyes and questioning attitudes about how processes work. We like our team to take the initiative when recognizing/escalating process improvements and we empower them to do so independently. The Team is made up of a small group, working in close quarters, so being a true team player is imperative.
The Pharmacy Stock Technician will support inventory control related activities at Butterworth Hospital in collaboration with the Inventory Control Coordinators, Pharmacy Buyer, and Inventory Control Specialist.
