The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and supervising direct patient care and program implementation in acute and outpatient settings. They also provide crisis management and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients dealing with mental illness or substance abuse.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Colorado or compact nursing license. CPR certification is required, along with knowledge of psychiatric nursing interventions and psychotropic medications.
Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for patients in the acute care and Outpatient programs. Assesses the patients needs and coordinates/implements the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician. Provides safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assures a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients. Knowledgeable of the psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses. Ability to direct others in the delivery of services, organize multiple tasks at one time, and problem solve situations under a fast paced environment. Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures. Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties. Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.
Experience/Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.CPR certification is also required. Must be licensed in the State of Colorado or hold a current compact license.
