Perform mammography procedures under the supervision of Certified Radiologists to produce diagnostic images. Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Allied Health school and ARRT registered in both Radiologic Technology and Mammography. Requires at least 6 months of experience in radiologic technology and a current BLS certification.
Work Shift: PRN / As Needed
Work Location: BSSF MOB (West Ashley)
Following established protocol and under the medical supervision of Certified Radiologists, Mammography Technologists will perform procedures for the direct results of interpretation. Technologists will assist the Radiologists on procedures as needed and be responsible for supervision of student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. Encourages and maintains good customer relations.
Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
At least 6 months experience in radiologic technology. Completion of 40 hours Mammography training.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology and Mammography. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Certified or documentation that certification has been applied for with the SCRQSA.

Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must have demonstrated ability to perform and teach Mammography exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images for interpretation. Knowledge of MQSA, OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations. Responsible for the safe operation of Breast Imaging and post processing equipment. Have the ability to operate standard office equipment. Knowledge and skills in the performance of quality control to meet MQSA standards.
Requires a mature individual who projects a professional and business-like appearance. Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related information.
