Provide skilled spiritual and emotional care to patients and families within an acute hospital setting. Lead the pastoral care team through mentoring, resource development, and contribution to quality improvement initiatives.
Requires a minimum of two CPE units or a tertiary degree in Pastoral Ministry or Theology, plus at least three years of experience in high-acuity healthcare settings. Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and strong theological reflection skills.
As a Pastoral Care Practitioner Level 2, you will provide skilled spiritual and emotional care within a busy acute hospital environment, supporting patients and families during some of life's most vulnerable moments.
Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, you will undertake spiritual assessments, develop and implement spiritual care interventions, and advocate for holistic care that respects the dignity and uniqueness of every individual.
This role also provides leadership within the Pastoral Care team through mentoring, resource development and contribution to quality improvement initiatives.
You are a compassionate and highly engaged spiritual care professional who is committed to upholding the dignity of every person who enters our hospitals. You bring emotional maturity, professional judgement and a genuine desire to make a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of patients, families and colleagues.
